Students who have the accommodation of alternate formats for textbooks as part of their access plan will allow the steps outlined below, in advance of each semester.
After you ave selected your courses for the upcoming term, booklists can be found on MyCampus under Registration -- Books for term (the list includes the course codes, book titles, ISBNs and publisher names.)
Please note thst you may need to check several times to obtain all of your textbook titles.
Once you have your booklist, email a copy to email@example.com or print a copy of it and submit ot the ASC office at the campus you attend (Oshawa or Whitby Campus). Pickering students can email or submit their booklist to the Oshawa campus. You can also fill out our online form and submit it here.
This step is encouraged to be done as early as possible to the start of each term, where possible, as it can take the ASC weeks to facilitate accessible formatting with publishers and external vendors. If your faculty have not yet posted all of their books, please submit the information for the remaining book s as it becomes available.
You will recevied an email to your Durham College email adcress when your books are avaiable in an alternate format.
Your electronic version of the book will be submitted to you only when proof of purchase is shown to the ASC. Your proof of purchase can also be submitted to the ASC at the time you proivde your book list in order to reduce your ait time.
Texttbook electronic files will be emailed or given to students after they have purchased their textbooks (new, used, or e-book) and submitted proof of purchase (scans/photos/copies of receipts, or photo of the front and back of the book) to firstname.lastname@example.org
